PRIVACY POLICY

EduDomus is a connection platform — not an employment agency, not a tutoring service, and not a school. We help homeschool families discover independent educators.

Account data: your email address, and optionally your name and a profile photo. We use this only to identify you and to send transactional emails (sign-in links, support replies).

Profile data: the information you voluntarily add to your family or educator profile — subjects, grade ranges, teaching style, availability, and a short bio.

Location data: if you provide a location for matching purposes, we store your precise coordinates server-side only. We never share your exact address or precise coordinates with other users. Other users see only an approximate area (city/state) and a rough distance.

Messages: messages between families and educators are stored to power the platform. All messages are screened for safety before delivery.

Usage data: standard server logs (IP, user-agent, timestamps). We do not use third-party analytics trackers.

EduDomus is used by adults — guardians and educators. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Family profiles may describe children (grade level, subjects) but should never include a child's name, photo, or other identifying details. Guardians are responsible for the content of family profiles. If we learn we have collected personal data about a child under 13 without guardian consent, we will delete it promptly.

The guardian who creates a family account owns that account and all data within it. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time via our contact page. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

Other users: only the public-facing parts of your profile — approximate location, bio, subjects — are visible to matched users. Precise coordinates are never shared.

Service providers: we use Resend for transactional email, Vercel for hosting, and onejsonfile.com for data storage. Each receives only the data necessary for their service.

Safety screening:message content is sent to the Anthropic API for moderation before delivery. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing.

We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.

Sessions are protected with signed HttpOnly cookies. Passwords are never stored — we use email magic-links only. Data is stored on servers in the United States. We apply reasonable security measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data.

We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
